Micky Finn's Announces Two New Bartending Workshops At The Sapphire Room, September, 2025

If you've ever seen a truly talented bartender at work, you quickly realized that bartending is more than just pouring drinks, it's both a science and an art. The tools, ingredients, methods and the presentation are all part of a long tradition of proper pouring and mixing that has been honed into a science in and of itself over the course of many years. But it is also one that constantly evolves and expands as new drinks, combinations, ingredients, and products appear.

Indeed, it is the creative element of bartending - new drinks, presentations, and ideas - that provides the artistic element to the skill set.
But there are also many other details handled by bartenders that may go unnoticed if you're not paying close attention. A good bartender has to know the tools available, drink terminology, proper health and safety precautions, and how to adapt to slight changes in available ingredients or quirky orders.

Thankfully, these are all skills that can be learned. In fact, if you are interested in learning the ins and outs of bartending, you're in luck.
Micky Finn’s is now offering a series of Bartending Workshops. All workshops will be open to the public, and will be offered at The Sapphire Room, Micky Finn’s new event center.

Two Bartender Workshops will be held in September (one on September 11 and one on September 12).

Call Micky Finn's South Side location (on Pamplico Highway) at 843-413-1182 and pay over the phone or show up in person to pay and sign up.

The workshops will only cost $29.99 (plus tax). Payment is due at signup to hold your spot. The class is also non-refundable due to extremely high demand.

The Beginner Bartending Workshop will be held on September 11, 2025 (Thursday) from 6:00-8:00pm.

This class will cover the basics of bartending, terminology, hands-on training with stations, etc. The price includes the class and a bartending kit.

The Margarita Workshop will be held on September 12, 2025 (Friday) 6:00-8:00pm. This workshop will be a master class. To attend, students must have taken the Beginner Workshop or have prior knowledge of bartending skills. The class will discuss the history of the margarita and students will learn how to create five different versions of the famous drink. Students will choose three of the five to create. Chips and salsa will be included.

Both classes will take place at The Sapphire Room, 550 Pamplico Hwy, Suite C. Florence, SC 29505.
Both classes are non-refundable due to high demand.

Please take note, the only way to guarantee your spot for these classes is to follow these instructions for sign-up.
The company's goal with the new Bartending Workshops is to take individuals with little to no experience in bartending and provide them with a lifelong skill set that will enable them to embark on a new career or simply pick up a side job on the weekends.

If you've ever been interested in learning bartending as a new career or if you simply want to learn the basics so you can make better drinks at home, this Beginner's level Workshop is for you!

But don't wait too long to sign up. Slots are already going fast.
