Micky Finn’s Drink Recipes
For those perusing the staff liquor picks for a cocktail idea, one may have already occurred to you including this month’s picks – The Irish Car Bomb is a well-known cocktail. Although traditionally containing Jameson Irish Whiskey, we recommend trying the drink out with Wild Atlantic Irish Whiskey, specifically the IPA Barrel. The Irish Car Bomb Guinness Stout Jameson Irish Whiskey (or Wild Atlantic Irish Whiskey) Bailey’s Irish Cream Fill a pint glass ¾ of the way full with Guinness Stout. Separately, fill a shot glass halfway with Bailey’s Irish Cream and the other half with Jameson Irish Whiskey (or Wild Atlantic Irish Whiskey). Drop the shot glass into the pint glass and chug the contents of the pint glass as quickly as possible (before the cream begins to curdle). For a new twist on the Irish Car Bomb, however, we recommend trying one of Micky Finn’s own drink recipes – The Carolina Car Bomb. The Carolina Car Bomb Guinness Stout Wild Atlantic Irish Whiskey Six & Twenty Carolina Cream Fill a pint glass ¾ of the way full with Guinness Stout. Separately, fill a shot glass halfway with Six & Twenty’s Carolina Cream and the other half with Wild Atlantic Irish Whiskey Drop the shot glass into the pint glass and chug the contents of the pint glass as quickly as possible (before the cream begins to curdle). Obviously, the recipe is identical to the original Irish version with two changes using ingredients from South Carolina making it the Carolina Car Bomb. It’s a unique take on a classic cocktail recipe created by the staff at Micky Finn’s. We recommend keeping the Guinness though.
